Centrifugal Blowdown Separator
Separators handle the hot boiler intermittent blowdown water from boilers up to 300 psi. Flash steam is vented to atmosphere. Remaining hot condensate goes to an aftercooler before being sent to the sewer slystem. ASME code separator is 16" in diameter. To select the proper blowdown separator for your application, you need to know both the boiler operating pressure and the size of the bottom blowdown connection. Using those two figures, you can match the bottom blowdown inlet on the blowdown separator to the boiler blowdown connection size.
